work with startups participating in our programs to provide expertise to founders and their teams, as well as access to student interns from NYU. FIR leverage their expertise, research experience, and, when applicable, class projects and their facilities at research centers with which they’re involved to jumpstart our companies’ success.</p>\n<p>FIR are also encouraged and supported by the NYU Tandon Future Labs to commercialize their inventions and intellectual property. They serve as on-campus advocates, leading by example as innovators and entrepreneurs.</p>\n<h2>Program Details</h2>\n<p>Each FIR receives funds to support the entrepreneurial activities of his or her students. Collectively, they also receive more than $200,000 in in-kind contributions from NYU and the Future Labs for their entrepreneurial activities. Stipends and in-kind support are approved based on individual needs and dispersed upon written request.\nThe stipend can be used for any of the following activities:</p>\n<p>●\tPrototyping\n●\tEvents and conferences related to entrepreneurship\n●\tOther activities that enhance and promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem at NYU Tandon</p>\n<p>In-kind support includes:</p>\n<p>●\tLegal support and pro-bono legal office hours\n●\tFunding for 1 flex desk at either one of the Future Labs\n●\tLean Launchpad training\n●\tAmazon Web Services credits\n●\tGoogle App Engine\n●\tMicrosoft Bizspark\n●\tLegal office hours/advice\n●\tAccounting support\n●\tOther support, such as connection to financiers</p>"}}}},pathContext:{slug:"F-EIR"}}}});
